You may be in pain, require wisdom teeth management, or have a broken tooth which cannot be repaired and requires an extraction (removal). At Perth City Dental, we pride ourselves on providing friendly and skilled and gentle extraction services.
Extraction is done under local anaesthetic in our practice. We can also arrange a referral to a specialist, if you have been advised your tooth will need management under General Anaesthetic. After the procedure, you may experience some discomfort, pain, and/or bleeding. We offer a free follow-up appointment to check how you are healing. Typically, it takes about 2 weeks for the wound to heal. Your dentist will talk to you about how to prevent complications after tooth extractions and the options available to replace your missing tooth (if required).

We understand extractions can be frightening for some people. We will discuss your medical history, the procedure and work with you to help you feel comfortable and in control. If appropriate, Perth City Dental can offer sedation options.
Where appropriate, we can provide your employer with a Medical Certificate. The recovery time from an extraction depends on the individual and can vary from one day to one week.
