Our dentists are experienced with emergency cases and always aim to treat the cause of the discomfort and remove the symptoms promptly. Examples of common dental emergencies include toothache, abscess or swelling, broken and cracked teeth, lost filling or crown, broken dentures, wisdom tooth pain and dental trauma (knocking teeth out in sport etc). Taking pain relief medications such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, along with warm, salty mouth rinses and applying a cold compress to the affected area, may help to ease discomfort until you are able to attend your appointment.
