It’s important to know how to floss your teeth, as it helps you reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum disease later in life. Teeth flossing is an important measure to take when it comes to maintaining your oral hygiene, as well as keeping the surfaces of your teeth clean.
How shall I floss my teeth?
To floss your teeth, you will need to pull 40 to 45cm of dental floss from your floss dispenser. Once you’ve done this, wrap the ends of the floss around your index and middle fingers. Hold the floss tightly around each tooth in a C-shape, and move the floss back and forth in a push-pull motion and up and down against each side of each tooth.
Why do I need to floss my teeth?
It’s important to know how to floss your teeth properly and why you need to do so. By regularly flossing your teeth, plaque is removed, which helps you decrease your chances of developing tooth decay. There are many foods consumed with “hidden sugars” which can cause damage to your teeth, which is why it’s important to take preventative measures such as teeth flossing.
